CHANGING SETTINGS IN EUDORA E-MAIL PROGRAMME

These instructions are written for V2.0, V3.0 of Eudora and Eudora Lite. We assume that you have setup the dialer to connect to the TECH INFO internet service as part of the browser setup. Please complete the dialer setup before attempting this set of instructions.

1. Start Eudora.
2. Select Tools.
Select Options
Select Getting Started from the left side bar menu
Your POP account is [email protected]
(Please substitute username for the login name you have been allocated on the TECH INFO system.
Type in your Real Name in the space provided as it would appear in a typed document ie. Fred Smith
The connection method selected should be Winsock
Select Personal Information from the left side bar menu.
The first 2 items should already be filled in for you.
Item 3 - Return address should be entered in the format [email protected] (substitute your login name for the word username in the text above)
(Note: If you are a previous Gravity Internet customer, use    @gravity.net.au   in the instructions above)
Select Hosts from the left side bar menu
The POP name should already be filled in.
Type in the SMTP address as mail.techinfo.com.au
Ph should be blank.
Finger should be blank.

3. All other items in the setup menu are personal choices - leave them as set if you do not know what you are doing.

4. Please do not forget to change your signature file if it includes your old e-mail address as part of its text. To do this select Tools then Signature. Edit the file and save it by double clicking on the top left corner.
